Sketch Dump Galore!

Had quite a few sketches from the last two weeks, so decided to compile some into a Sketch dump format to give you guys a look into what I've been sketching up lately!

I got the idea from Elioli, an extremely talented, twin duo-literally-that I had the pleasure of discovering via Facebook a few weeks back!
Go and check out some of their stuff, they've both got some serious skill! :D http://www.elioliart.com

So any who, here's a look at the pieces in detail!

Sketch of Buckland Abbey from a few weeks ago, sitting drawing on the lawn in the sun, pretty happy how it turned out in the end! :)

Quick 10-20sec'is sketches of people in Town, which I've then worked up a bit.

Quick go at developing up characters up inspired from my little observational thumbnails, something I might use when I needed to design a lot of background characters!

Pair of buskers I sat sketching in Town, they kept swapping over the guitar after a couple of songs each.

Birthday Picture for my friend Emily who I've actually known since I was little! I got inspired by a quirky photo of her walking her dog on her horse, who sadly passed away a few months ago, so it made it all the most special for her! :) Haven't drawn many horses to be honest but rather pleased with the final result.

Sketched this after watching Monster's Inc for the first time in years to refresh before going to see Monster's University the next day! Really loved it, Pixar just keep getting better and better! That scene around the end of the film had me on the edge of my seat! ;)

I ordered some new Faber Castelle watercolour pencils to take on holiday to Mexico with me in a couple weeks! :) Thought'd I'd test them out on a odd sketch in one of my files. Really love how pastelley and vibrant they are! Can't wait to use them in Mexico!

Pair of sketches of a random umbrella girl! The weathers unfortunately taken a turn for the worst so thats probably inspired her. Still haven't thought of a name for her just yet!

Sketched this little Tree Goblin I think during a workshop session at Uni with some kids, we were designing magical forests! :D Quite liking the little guys design so might make a troupe of them at some point.

Finally here's some sketches from today of an Alien girl I started doodling whilst watching Indiana Jones.

I love the early stages after the first sketch of a character, as you get to have all the fun of trying to work out their lives and what they do, where they live ext! :D Looking forward to seeing where I might go with her! :)
