Let the 3rd Uni-Year Begin!
Started back at University today for the first day of My Final Year! Lots of work ahead of me but I'm looking forward to creating lots of new stuff and seeing how I'll develop over the rest of the course!
For now, here's a Tree Spirit I sketched up yesterday evening from my sketchbook!
Night all!

Pepper-Mint Candy, The Trio Together Last! :)
After having the Original Idea for this Trio during December last year, I now finally have an established design each, for Pepper Mint and Candy!
I've been working on and off on developing these guys during the course of the year, and I picked out my rough concepts of Candy the other day and decided to see about establishing a finished visual design for her, and begin to explore her character.
The reason why these guys are also very important to me, particularly Pepper, is because last year I wanted to completely change the way that I drew, and it's from creating Pepper that I've began to develop my new methods over the course of this year, and I've definitely liked the changes!
Be sure though, these guys will continue to develop as I do, all the way! :)

Space Monkey
Originally when I doodled this piece up yesterday night it had a far more comical intention.
Though after finishing it and then reading up about the Animal Space race, when I finished painting it today, it came out far more contemplative than comical. Surprising how gaining knowledge can affect your work without you realising!
Respect to all the Animals that allowed us to reach the stars, you will not be forgotten!

All Bark, No Bite Design!
I've actually had this design in the works for a while, it was originally done among my other holiday sketches-See a few posts back-but I needed some time to think over and refine it!
As you can probably tell it's inspired by the saying 'All Bark-No Bite!' which just randomly came into my head one day, and eventually developed into this.
I've only used Illustrator a handful of times-in particular for my current logo-so it was interesting challenge to tackle a t-shirt design for first time, but I definitely learnt a lot and improved my flow around Illustrator's work space! :)
Let me know what you guys think, any thoughts or opinions? :)
I likely might order myself a print of this sometime, so any recommendations for good t-shirt printers would be very welcome!
Best,
Michael

Cats Don't Dance-Sketches!
I watched 'Cats Don't Dance!' for my 2nd time this evening after listening to the amazing soundtrack whilst working this morning! Seriously enjoyed this film 2nd time around, the animation is beautiful and the characters have got that wacky lively attitude you expect from Warner Bros, with a lot of heart thrown in!
I really like this sketch of a disheartened Danny I that worked up whilst watching, but you'll have to watch the film yourself to see why he gets so down and out!
A line that struck a cord with me from Danny was,"I just wanna do what I love!", something that speaks for us all I feel, especially in the creative zone, and really echoed the animators voices who worked on this classic!

Cock-A-Dudes!
Happy birthday to Camille Raveau! :D She's a seriously cool artist I met the other day, you should totally go check out her beautiful work! https://www.facebook.com/camilledraws
I got inspired by some photos she took at a visit to Monet's House in Giverny, France, of some chickens with the most Awesome Plumage Hairstyles.
I couldn't resist doing something fun with them, and so I turned out this!
Hope you like it French Sis! X
